Regina, SK – Our week long coverage of the 2014 North American Indigenous Games ended at the Closing Ceremonies held at the Cultural Village at First Nations University of Canada. It was an amazing end to a successful week that featured headliners A Tribe Called Red along with many amazing opening performers.

Team BC ended up winning first place in the medal standings (despite a protest from Team Saskatchewan due to the swimming competition being an unsanctioned even, which was held by the NAIG Council).

However, based on the smiles on the faces of thousands of Indigenous youth athletes in attendance at closing ceremonies,  the Regina 2014 North American Indigenous Games was still a great success. Athletes, coaches and chaperones exchanged pins, hats, shirts and jackets, while others said their final goodbyes to the friends they made. It was a great experience for the Indigenous youth in attendance as you can see from some of the pics that Michael Dubois captured  for RezX.
