ARTIST PROFILE: TYRONE WHITEHAWK
Tyrone Whitehawk, 31, of Cote First Nation is more than your average aspiring First Nation artist. He is an artist in his own right who has established himself already having sold every painting he has ever done.
Since he was five years old, Whitehawk has been drawing but didn’t start painting until nine years ago which is when his artistic talents took off. But like many artist, he lost his passion along the way and chose to focus on school instead – which is not a bad idea. He put down the paint brush and went on a three year hiatus, but somewhere in that time he felt something was missing in his life.
This past January, Whitehawk returned to the passion he loved and has since seen his artwork and paintings take off to new heights. It is one reason, RezX chose one of his painting to grace the cover of our newest publication, RezXSouth.
