Aboriginal Youth Entrepreneur / Founder of RezX / Motivational Speaker

Chris has almost 19-years of business experience as a young entrepreneur. He has been a Magazine Publisher, Music Promoter, Journalist and is now the CEO of a new company he is currently starting.

Chris was only 16-years old when he started his first business, Generation X Magazine, in Fort Qu’Appelle, SK. He assembled a team of his fellow students to be his writers and sold advertising to local businesses in order to put out his publication every month delivering to Fort Qu’Appelle and Lebret, SK. Gen-X would eventually go on to become “the very first Indigenous Youth Magazine in Canada!”

19 years later, he is still going strong with RezX Magazine, RezX Podcast and RezX TV (which airs in 104 communities in Saskatchewan). Having learned almost everything on his own with some training and mentorship on the way, Chris has had to overcome more than the average entrepreneur. When talking about his journey he says, “I learned to survive in the business world based on overcoming failure, and this is what I preach to anyone wanting to start a business”. When talking to Aboriginal youth, “I’ve always used my media to profile “real models”, which is a term I’ve coined, that are role models with more realistic achievements for inner city youth and on-reserve youth to look up too, I’am a perfect example of someone who grew up with a single father and two sisters, living below the poverty line, but somehow being able to survive and finding ways to be successful!”

Chris Ross’s Motivational Workshops consists of 2-hours: 1-hour interactive speaking engagement + 1/2 hour showing of clips from his TV Show, RezX + 1/2 hour Q & A.

SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT FEES:

*All Speaking Engagement Costs include Speaking Fee + Travel and/or Accommodation.

WORKSHOP OPTIONS:

• 2 Motivational Workshops

TRAVEL COSTS:

• Round trip (Regina to Destination back to Regina, SK)
• Rate of .43 per km as per gov’t standard (Total KM)

ACCOMODATION FEES:

• Rooms (must be provided by school/organization).
• If travelling further than 500 km one way to destination, we request 1 nights stay.
• If speaking within Regina and area, no rooms required.
