Colby Tootoosis talks Treaty

At RezX, we think it’s important for everyone to know about the importance of Treaties. So we thought this cool and informative interview with Colby Tootoosis (which we came across on Youtube and was done by Ashley Spyglass) would offer some insights. Tootoosis, who is a councillor of Poundmaker First Nation has become quite the advocate of Treaty education. Check out the video to get educated on just the surface of treaties. One point, he talks about is how the Government created the term of “Aboriginals” to define us all, which kind of makes us here at RezX rethink our tagline, “Southern Saskatchewan’s Aboriginal Lifestyles Magazaine”. I think we’ll change it to “Southern Saskatchewan’s Indigenous Voice”. Thank you Colby.
