Darian Durant Expected to Miss Remainder of Season
Regina, SK – Details have emerged regarding Saskatchewan Rough Riders Quarterback Darian Durant’s arm injury and it doesn’t look good.
In a press release issued this morning, “Darian Durant suffered a significant arm injury duringSunday’s game in Winnipeg. Durant, who was injured in the third quarter, travelled back to Regina with the team following the game where he received thorough medical assessment. Tests have revealed Durant suffered a torn tendon in his right elbow that will require surgery. As a result, the 32-year-old has been added to the teams 6 game injury list and is expected to miss the remainder of the season”.
This is a significant blow to the Roughriders who are coming off a 7-game win streak and were looking to defend last year’s Grey Cup. Now the team will have to do it without Durant and rely on backup quarterback Tino Sunseri who is is expected to make his first career start against Hamilton this Sunday.
