RezX Recipes: NDN Steak Sandwiches
Tired of using all those european-inspired recipes seen on other websites? Boooooring! Well here at RezX, we have something better with our new section, RezX Recipes!
Every week or so, we will give you a new step by step recipe on how to make the best First Nations food or as we call it NDN Food. To begin, RezX’s Chef (not Chief) Editor Chris Tyrone Ross put together this amazing recipe of “NDN Steak Sandwiches” for all you bachelors out there and families who are looking for a cheap way to make supper.
NDN Steak Sandwiches will feed your spirit and make you feel like a real warrior from back in the day. This specific recipe was passed down from generation to generation going as far back as pre-colonial days. At the time, there wasn’t a lot of bulls or cows going around, but there were a lot of pigs. In fact, our people used to sneak up on these herds of pigs and hunt them down. Then at night, they would make this exact recipe and sing songs and dance pow wow around the camp fire celebrating their kill. Okay I might have made up that last part, but I did not make up this recipe as it was really passed down.
Today, the recipe lives on! So here’s a quick easy step by step recipe on making NDN steak sandwiches to make for your family and friends! Read the captions on each picture to follow the recipe.
